The RA-20 is a transformer balanced, passive re-amplifier two inputs and outputs, controllable via four unique mono/stereo configuration modes.

Mode 1

Dual Mono

 

With both Mode buttons off, the RA-20 behaves like two separate RA-10 units by default, with each side completely independent of the other.

Mode 2

Mono to Dual Mono

 

With just the first Mode button on, the Left input will be duplicated across both sides, but with independent controls. This allows you to take a mono source and re-amp it to two different destinations, each with their own level and impedance settings.

Mode 3

True Stereo

 

With just the second Mode button on, the RA-20 will treat the two inputs as a stereo pair that a both controlled with the left side controls only. This means you can re-amp in true stereo without having to painstakingly match the settings on both sides.

Mode 4

Mono to Stereo

 

With both Mode buttons on, the RA-20 uses the left input as the source for both channels and links the controls. This is similar to Mode 2, but the level and impedance for both channels are set using the left hand controls only.
